#AskAwayFriday with Tiffany from Mrs Tee Love Life Laughter

AboutMe-GlassesThis week’s AskAwayFriday is with the lovely Tiffany from Mrs Tee Love Life Laughter. She’s a mum who juggles looking after her six children, blogging and vlogging. Her blog is a haven where ‘love, life and laughter collide to make a collage of unexpected happiness…’ Why not hop over to her blog to check it out yourself.

What is #AskAwayFriday?

#AskAwayFriday was created by the amazing Penny from Real Housewife of Caroline County and Amber from Bold Fit Mom, as a way to connect with other bloggers with a great Q & A session of 10 questions and answers! This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know others while allowing others to get to know you. We are sad to lose Amber as one of our amazing Co-Host’s, as she is working to pursue other business ventures and focusing her attentions on her fitness ventures. We wish her nothing but the best, and hope for her thriving success!

We would like to give a huge #AAF welcome to a Brand New Co-Host…

And now the questions…

1) When you think of winter what is your favorite memory?

When I was little I lived in a farm up on a hill bordering onto the moors. One year it snowed so heavily up against the door we couldn’t get out. My dad lowered me out of the top window into the snow drift – I was the only one who could fit through. I had to dig us out then together we dug out our menagerie of dysfunctional animals. I laughed so much as we unearthed disgruntled hens and a very grouchy pig. None of the animals were too impressed with the snow but we had great fun sledging down the hill to school on a sled my dad made for us.

2) How do you spend a day with no appointments or obligations?

I’m assuming I’m childfree for this one. A long, hot bubble bath without plastic bath toys. A full uninterrupted cup of coffee snuggled on the sofa with a book. Lunch out with my husband then a trip to the cinema to watch a grown-up film.

3) If you could take any trip as a family (no cost issues) where would you go?

I’d like to go to Bali or Jamaica but my girls would love to go to Disneyland.

4) Snap a photo of whatever is to your left?

20150120_185623This is a picture of the corner of my girls’ bedroom. So typical of them – books, princess dresses and a nerf gun. Cute little girls one minute and sneaky snipers the next!

5) You live in an ‘enchanted woodland’ describe your most perfect day there.

We’d go off to the woods and I’d get a big pot of campfire stew cooking. My husband would potter, axe in hand and the girls would disappear off to make a den and play nicely together (?) I would then be free to wander aimlessly, stopping occasionally to take photographs. Eventually I’d get to one of my favourite spots, a giant fallen tree that looks out over the woods to the fields beyond. I’d settle down to read my book in peace – bliss! Then back to camp for a hot bowl of stew around the campfire. With full tummies, I’d take the girls off on an adventure to the Secret Field.

6) I know you did research to find your home. What was the most frustrating part of the experience?

It was frustrating watching another couple looking round our house while it was still for sale and it was excruciating waiting for our offer to be accepted. I decided the moment I walked through the front door that it was our future home.

7) What was the most rewarding?

Sitting with a coffee, on a deck chair surrounded by packing boxes at 1am. Moving completed, nothing unpacked, mess everywhere, exhausted but finally in our new home together.

8) Name a weird habit you have.

How to pick just one, I am quite weird you know (everyone who knows me in the real world is now nodding.) With three rowdy girls my house, my life is disorganised and cluttered. I crave order and simplicity. Numbers give me that order. I like ‘nice’ numbers, round numbers and especially palindromic numbers. I will turn the volume up to 20 even if it was ok at 19. I cook things for 30 minutes even though the recipe says 28 minutes. Weird huh?
On May the 10th (US date format) and October the 5th (UK date format) this year I’ll be weirdly satisfied.

Told you I was weird! I won’t even mention that on March 14th this year at 9:26:53 am I’ll move from weird to weirdly geeky satisfied.

9) Were you always a lover of nature and outdoors?

I was brought up in a rambling old farmhouse and I spent most of my spare time out in the countryside. I was either building dens, splashing in rivers or climbing trees. I never did get the hang of climbing down trees, I usually fell out.

10) Random: pick a word to describe yourself with each of these 3 letters:

Sensitive ♥ Happy ♥ Peaceful ♥

♥ Thank you for swapping with me Tiffany ♥

Oh Lindsay, I’m so glad I someone else is as mad as I am! There is a certain satisfaction to even numbers and yet odds are more aesthetically pleasing in nature.

What a wonderful swap! Oh it sounds amazing, where you grew up! That definitely sounds like my daughter, princess one minute, sneaky sniper the next! LOL! As the winter months take over, I would love to be in Jamaica, now. Have a great weekend!

Thanks Stacey, my first swap buddy! I seem to be the main target for the princess snipers at the moment – need to seek my revenge mwahahahaha!

Okay so I had so many wonderful responses and replies to your answers and then we got down to the one about being weird and well….I AM SO THE SAME WAY!! i totally round everything off for no real reason. I change look times even times when I am going to leave for something to be a nice round number….I think I found my weirdness twin!!

Okay now back to your other awesome answers. I love your winter memory. It sounds like something from a book I would read. So perfect in it’s imperfection – especially the grumpy snow bound animals 😀

I could go on but I will not write an entire post in your comments – LOL Thanks so much for giving me a glimpse into your world. I love it and have definitely enjoyed my visit 🙂
