Billy And Monster’s Golden Christmas

616K2ehvNQL._UY250_We read this book at Christmas which was just perfect timing. It tells the tale of receiving unwanted presents from well meaning grownups, and teaches children to be polite, grateful and thankful for what they have. This is all put across in a fun manner through colourful illustrations and with the help of a family of happy monsters. The monsters teach Billy that not everyone is as fortunate as he is and that the most important thing is a loving family. This book shares an important message for any time but especially nice for Christmas. All three of my girls enjoyed this story (ages 3, 4 & 7.)

Kojo The Seadragon Gets Lost

61i+A5tgwUL._UY250_My girls loved the cute characters in this book. The illustrations are perfect for little ones, bright, simple lines but with a lot to look at. In the story Kojo and his friend play hide and seek, a game my little ones love. It teaches children about listening to their parents’ rules as they’re often for their own safety. Kojo learns this the hard way but is thankfully rescued by his friends. I liked the way this book ended on the importance of friendship.
