Tiny is a magical little dinosaur and Tiny Tyrannosaurus is just as magical as its main character. Each chapter is a complete story of Tiny and Isaac’s adventures and they are an ideal length to read as a bedtime story; that’s twelve nights of reading fun! Alternatively it is a simple enough read for a slightly older child. Tiny arrives on Isaac’s seventh birthday and I think this is an ideal reader age for this book; my little one turned seven while reading this book and enjoyed reading it herself and having it read to her.
The story builds as the bond between the young boy and the little dinosaur grows. This is an endearing tale of friendship and fun, it also teaches about manners and child safety but the serious issues are cleverly woven into the story in a fun and child friendly manner.
I can definitely imagine a sequel to this book and would love to find out about the further adventures of Tiny at magic school. In the meantime, we’ll enjoy reading Penny Luker’s The Green Book for our bedtime stories.
