Review of ‘Wally the Warm-Weather Penguin’ by Stephanie M. Ward

Firstly this was a fun book to read with its bouncing rhymes and colourful pictures. It’s nice to find a picture book that’s as fun for the grown-up reading, as the children listening. My little ones enjoyed following Wally the penguin’s adventures around the Galapagos Islands and we found it interesting to see a collection of creatures very different to those usually featured in children’s books. This is a good bedtime story but perhaps better read in the day when you have time to answer all the questions from inquisitive little ones, that this story provokes.
